Really enjoyed meeting Francesca, Joanna & Barbara on Saturday at the Bailiffgate Museum for the fascinator workshop. Arriving promptly on Saturday morning, they were bubbling with enthusiasm and eagerness to learn new millinery techniques. Barbara even came armed with a cake for coffee time! What a star!
We were really well looked after by the trustee on duty that day - Nick - who made sure we had everything we needed. (Here is he looking somewhat slightly ghostly!)
We paused in the afternoon to watch the moving march past of The 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers which was presented with new Colours for the first time in its history. The march halted in front of the Bailiffgate Museum before moving onto the St Michael's Church where the old colours were laid to rest.
Then it was back to work to finish our pieces! I am please to say that Francesca, Joanna & Barbara were delighted with their efforts, as was I, they went home with their new fascinators - just need that very special occasion now!
Thank you ladies for a lovely day!
I am delighted to announce the date of the first workshop I will be running at The Bailiffgate Museum, Alnwick, Northumberland, on Saturday May 2nd, 10 - 4, in the studio at the Museum. Great opportunity to make your very own fascinator for your upcoming summer event - especially if the rest of the family are keen Harry Potter fans whilst you fancy a little "me" time!
